
This is a classical compote of Italian tradition, especially used in Maremma lands. This compote is made of scented fruit which nowadays are almost forgotten. Their taste and perfume are emphasized by the addition of lemon juice. Jelly-textured. As an afternoon break, it’s ideal to taste spread on a slice of homemade bread and it is suitable to prepare many typical cakes.
Ingredients: quinces, raw cane sugar, lemon juice.
